1Who is responsible for your data

Side is a sales management software published by SEM Agency, a Moroccan company. SEM Agency hosts and processes the data needed for the service.

For the data of your customers, suppliers and employees that you enter in Side, your company remains the data controller: we only act on your behalf and on your instructions.

2The data we process

Your account: name, e-mail, phone, language, photo and password (stored hashed, never in clear).

Your company: legal name, ICE, IF, RC, address, logo, bank details and settings.

Your activity: items, customers, suppliers, quotes, invoices, payments, stock, projects, online store and attached files.

Technical data: IP address, device and browser, sign-in dates, used for security and your team’s access rules.

3Why we use it

To run Side: create your documents, compute VAT, track stock, send the e-mails you ask for (shared invoices, reminders, orders).

To secure your account: sign-in, sessions, unusual access detection, allowed hours and IP addresses.

To invoice your subscription and provide support. We never use your data for advertising and never resell it.

4Security

Every page uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed; sign-in and reset links are single-use and expire.

Each company is isolated: its data, files and folders are only visible to its members. Documents shared by link use a unique address that cannot be guessed, with a verification QR code.

The owner decides who sees what: for each member and each module, access can be No access, View, Edit or Full (with deletion). Working hours, devices and IP addresses can be limited, and access can be closed at any time.

Deletions go through a 30-day trash. Backups are made regularly and the Side team only enters your space to help you, at your request.

5Where your data is kept and for how long

Your data is kept on secure servers while your account is active. Invoices and accounting documents must be kept for the period set by Moroccan law; you can export them at any time as PDF or Excel.

When your account is closed, your data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable time, except what the law requires us to keep.

6Your rights (law 09-08)

Under Moroccan law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, you have a right of access, rectification and objection.

You can change most of your information in My account and My company. For any other request, write to support: we answer as soon as possible.

We are working on the declaration of our processing to the CNDP and on national certifications to protect your personal information and your company’s.

7Cookies

Side only uses necessary cookies: session, language, form security and the “stay signed in” option (40 days on the chosen device). No advertising cookies.

8Providers

We use a small number of providers (hosting, e-mail delivery, payment), chosen for their security and bound to confidentiality. They only use your data for the service they provide to Side.
